چکیده
The Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) constitutes one of the prominent technologies for next generation wireless communications. It is envisioned to enhance signal coverage in cases when direct link communication weak. Recently, beam training based on codebook selection proposed obtain optimized phase configuration RIS. After that, data transmitted and received by using classical coherent demodulation scheme (CDS). This approach able avoid large overhead required channel sounding process, it also circumvents complex optimization problems. However, still requires transmission some reference signals test different configurations codebook, best codeword chosen according measurement energy signals. Then, due reduces spectral efficiency. In this paper, a zero RIS proposed, relying reception non-CDS (NCDS). At BS, differential can be used determination Therefore, efficiency system significantly enhanced since are fully avoided. choosing NCDS more suitable transmit information high mobility scenarios as compared CDS. Analytical expressions Signal-to-Interference Noise Ratio (SINR) non-coherent RIS-empowered presented. Moreover, detailed comparison between CDS terms complexity given. extensive computer simulation results verify accuracy presented analysis showcase that outperforms existing solutions.

Miniature Multi-Element Antenna for Wireless Communications
We present a novel broad-band miniature antenna and employ it in a multi-element geometry with diversity capabilities for wireless communications. This antenna (diameter 0.2 and thickness 0.06 ) consists of two stacked circular patches that create two cylindrical slots resonating at two slightly different frequencies, fed by a strategically positioned coaxial probe. An extensive parametric stud...

To create a next-generation mobile satellite communication system that offers large communication capacity, the onboard antenna system must be a multi-beam system consisting of a light weight 20-m class reflector and a light weight 100-beam class antenna feed system. We clarify that the antenna gain decrease created by the reflector surface distortion in orbit is relatively large. This paper pr...

Digital beamforming (DBF) techniques are capable of improving the performance of communications systems significantly. However, if the transmitted signals are conflicted with strong interference especially in the direction of the transmitted beams, these directional jamming signals will severely degrade the system performance. In order to efficiently mitigate the interference of the directional...
متن کاملData-Aided and Non-Data-Aided SNR Estimators for CPM Signals in Ka-Band Satellite Communications
Adaptive coded and modulation (ACM) is an effective measure to resist rain attenuation in Ka-band satellite communications. The accuracy of the estimator for signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is one of the main factors that affect ACM performance. This paper establishes the channel model of satellite communication in Ka-band and derives and analyzes data-aided (DA) maximum likelihood (ML) and method-...
